I have lived in Japan and worked in the UK where I spent my youth as well as Chicago and LA in the US. In between times I have visited another 20 possibly even countries for entertainment or work. Every trip I learned something however it was only when I was moving into another country did I really begin to understand the culture. Celebrating Christmas in Japan with only chopsticks to fight the turkey and brussel sprouts became a time to remember.

Be Flexible. If your organizational is global you might have the opportunity to see another location, continue on an exchange program or transfer should you be willing to be flexible.
